Let's be absolutely clear about this:

Where I'm saying and repeating like a mantra:"we, the people" I refer to the first three words of the american constitution. As some of you may know, I have been weary about the freedom of the internet for some time. I do believe fully in every persons freedom to speak their mind and we have no better place for it then the internet. For equality of rights and opportunities and to show the world what we can do, it is the best platform thinkable, and I am strongly advocating we keep it that way.

OUR FREEDOM UNDER ATTACK

Lately I see disturbing developments coming to the surface. Governments that are supposed to protect our freedom are being shown to neglect their fundamental obligation to protect the interests of the people that have chosen them to do so. As time goes by, the arrogance of the governments that rule us, in conjunction with the needs of a small minority of very wealthy organisations, is becoming less obscure and more brutal.

It is said that history repeats itself, and never more have I seen it proven. So-called democratically chosen governments are asserting their power to oppress the people that have facilitated their position. All in the name of democracy the free world is being controlled, regulated, investigated and spied on like we are all criminals. As soon as the people show the world that these governments are merely using us to fund their never dying lust for money and power they are treated as dangerous for the state. I believe the leaders that are in power to protect us, should not feed us lies and be straightforward in living the things they preach.

Right now the world has been shaken, not stirred. (James Bond) We the people have been dipped into a financial crisis by the banking system. We the people are being made to pay for the banking system to keep up it's game, with the IMF at the top of the pyramid. We the people have been swallowing lies for years, centuries even. We the people have kept quiet, thinking that it would be allright, while knowing we have been kept under a blanket of fairytales. We the people have stood by and watched governments admit lies and crimes against us years after the fact. Over and over the story remains the same. From the roman empire till today, governments have shrouded in secrecy. They have been telling us lies to help them along in their lust for power and money, two words that seemed synonymous for millenia.

This time things are different. This time with the internet at our hands, we, the people all can tell the world what we think. This time we the people have true power. This time we the people have the possibility if only for a few weeks, to show the leaders that we expect democracy to be what it means. (democracy comes from old greek. demo(people)cracy(rule))

One word has lit a fuse under a feeling that has grown for as long as humanity exists. Can we the people trust our governments? One word will change the face of society as we know it.

That word is: WIKILEAKS

I have spoken my mind, while I still can. I think it is a good thing the world is woken up, I am very afraid what will happen next, but I will not keep my mouth shut! This thing that we the people love so much, cause it truly embodies our freedom, the free internet, may be at the end of it's days. In history rulers have always responded with fierce battles, death and destruction, when we the people have held them responsible.

It would not be an exception, but rather the rule, when the leaders would take the free internet from us, in an attempt to silence us.

I have a deep concern for the freedom of my family, my friends and the people of this world.
